Love Heart workshops are designed to help participants explore fascinating subjects in the company of leading experts and other curious minds.
Our speakers bring a wealth of professional, academic, or lived experience, sharing insights that inform, inspire, and encourage discussion. Speaker biographies and details can be found on each individual workshop page.
All workshops are designed to be engaging and accessible for everyone, regardless of prior knowledge or experience. Whether you're discovering a topic for the first time or deepening an existing interest, you'll leave with new ideas, fresh perspectives, and meaningful conversations.

What should I expect from a Learning Lunch?
Combine the pleasure of a great meal with the joy of sharing knowledge. Led by an expert in their field, Learning Lunches are relaxed, convivial events held at wonderful venues where lunch is served with fascinating insights on a compelling topic. A perfect blend of nourishment and knowledge — stimulating conversation, warm company, and a memorable experience. The lunch venues range from private rooms in cafes and restaurants to venues where catering will be provided.
The range of venues is as broad as the conversations that are held within them. Learning lunches are more casual than the 6-week courses, and generally do not include formal presentations. A Love Heart facilitator hosts the special guest speaker, who will discuss their experience or their subject over the course of the meal. These speakers are known experts in their field, who bring insights, wisdom and experience to share with guests.
Each lunch includes either a set menu, a buffet or shared platters, depending on the venue. Dietary requests can be accommodated if ordered in advance. As with all Love Heart experiences, come alone or with a friend. Making new connections is a key aspect of our learning options.

What should I expect from a Learning Experience?
Learning Experience are full-day, immersive experiences where participants board a bus and travel together to learn directly from experts in the field. Each Learning Experience includes one to three different locations, based upon a curated theme. At each venue or location, an expert guide will share their knowledge to deepen your understanding of the topic. Depending on the destination, one or more speakers may contribute through the day.
Each experience starts by boarding a bus or van departing from a central location. In some instances, two pick-up points may be offered. Most experience run from between five and six hours, depending on travel distance. Please allow some flexibility for return times, as they are traffic-dependent. A sit-down or packed lunch is included in the learning experience fee. Please dress comfortably with shoes suitable for walking. Bring weather-appropriate clothing, such as rain jackets or thermal layers. Where a level of fitness is required, or where there are stairs or access challenges, these will be outlined on the event booking profile. Most importantly, these learning experience are designed for fun, interaction and the chance to see some truly amazing places, develop new knowledge and meet new friends.

Both Raewyn and I attended the first Love Heart Hawke’s Bay event: A Taste of Mastery: Learning Lunch with Mike Henley MW.
It was fantastic and we both enjoyed the food and the very interesting talk by Mike. A great start to what I am sure will be many more well-attended and informative and entertaining events from Love Heart.
