Love Heart is a lively social learning community designed for active and curious adults aged 60 and over. To provide you with our six-week courses, learning lunches, and learning adventures, we need to collect and process certain personal information. Please note that we use a third-party ticketing and event management platform, Flicket, to process event registrations, ticket sales, and payments on our behalf.

c) Payment Information: When you make a booking, your payment details are processed securely by Flicket and their PCI-compliant payment gateway providers (such as Stripe or Payment Express). Love Heart does not collect or store your credit card information, we only receive transaction references to confirm your booking.
d) Health and Safety Information: To ensure your comfort and safety during our events, we may collect information regarding your special dietary requirements or accessibility and mobility needs.
e) Technical Data: We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, and device information, primarily through cookies.

We use your personal information only for lawful purposes directly related to our services. Specifically, we use your data to:
a) Process Bookings: To manage your enrollment in our courses, learning lunches, and learning adventures, and to send you confirmation emails and course updates.

a) Service Providers (Flicket): We use Flicket as our primary third-party service provider to manage event ticketing, registration, and payment processing. d) Community Connections: For privacy reasons, we do not share participant contact details with the rest of the cohort. However, we encourage you to share your details directly with new friends you make during our events if you wish to stay connected.

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law:
a) Booking and Payment Records: Kept for 7 years to comply with New Zealand tax and legal requirements.
b) Course Participation Data: Kept for 3 years after your last interaction with us, to help us personalise our communications with you. Note - you may unsubscribe at any time. After these retention periods, your personal information is securely deleted or anonymised. You may also request the deletion of your account and data at any time.

Our website, alongside our ticketing partner Flicket, uses cookies to function effectively and to help us understand how visitors use our site.

Booking and payment records are kept for seven years for tax and legal compliance. Course participation data is retained for three years. After those periods, your information is securely deleted or anonymised. You can request the deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have specific rights regarding your personal information:
a) Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will respond to your request within 20 working days.
