SESSION Abstract: Introductory Ballroom Dancing workshop
This introductory workshop explores the world of ballroom dancing, including how it has evolved from its elegant beginnings to the popular styles seen on shows such as “Dancing with the Stars”.
You’ll also have the opportunity to put on your dancing shoes and learn the basics of two ballroom dances in a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment with an expert ballroom dance tutor.
You do not need to bring a partner, although having someone to dance with who is attending is helpful. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes (e.g. sneakers) suitable for the lesson. No heels, please.
Date: Wednesday 26th August
Time & format: The course will start at 10am, with a coffee and tea break followed by a chance to learn the basics of the Foxtrot and Cha-Cha in a fun and supportive environment.
Location: Keirunga Creative Arts Centre (Nelson Theatre space), 6 Puflett Road, Havelock North
